Rowden Abbey is just a short drive from Bredenbury Court Barns, making it the ideal location for the night before, the morning of, and the evening after your wedding. The house becomes your own for the weekend—with space for the wedding party to stay on-site, enjoy breakfast together, get ready in comfort, and unwind after the big day.
Whether it’s sharing drinks around the fire the night before, capturing bridal prep photos in stunning natural light, or retreating to a peaceful bedroom after the celebrations, Rowden Abbey gives you the privacy and space that hotel rooms can’t.
THE HOUSE
Built in 1881 by celebrated Arts and Crafts architect John Douglas, Rowden Abbey is full of warmth, charm, and character. Inside, you’ll find cosy bedrooms, grand staircases, oak-panelled rooms, and peaceful spaces to relax and get ready in comfort.
We offer flexible accommodation options depending on your group size:
- The North Wing sleeps up to 13 guests across 6 bedrooms
- The Main Wing sleeps up to 9 guests across 5 bedrooms
- Or book the entire Abbey for exclusive use of all 11 bedrooms, accommodating up to 22 guests in total
- 2026 also sees the addition of 3 shepherd huts in the woodland.
