A warm and welcoming double bedroom with views across the gardens, inspired by the Gibbs family’s legacy. Decorated with subtle Olympic memorabilia from Josephine Gibbs’ skiing career, it blends homely comfort with a touch of sporting history.
As a Grade II listed building, Rowden Abbey has been carefully preserved to maintain its historic character. For this reason, most South Wing bedrooms do not have en-suite facilities. Instead, guests share access to a full bathroom and a shower room with a separate WC, both located just across the corridor from the bedrooms.
In many cases, depending on the number of guests staying, we are able to allocate either a bathroom or a shower room for your private use. During busier periods, the facilities may be shared, but they are always maintained to the highest standard.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, we also provide complimentary slippers for each guest.
