The North Wing has its own private entrance, giving guests the freedom to come and go as they please. Step through the original tiled hallway, full of period character, and you’ll find a convenient downstairs WC just off the entrance – perfect for families and groups.

Servants Hall

Once the servants’ hall of the Abbey, this long tiled corridor is full of Victorian character, with original quarry tiles underfoot and vintage travel posters along the walls. Today, it links the private North Wing entrance with the snug, kitchen, and dining room, setting the scene with a touch of history as you step inside.

Hopton Room

A cosy double tucked beneath the eaves, full of character with its sloping ceiling and exposed beam. Please note: the roofline creates some reduced head height, adding to the room’s charm but best suited for guests who don’t mind a snug, cottage-style feel. A lovely retreat for singles or couples looking for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Second Floor Bathroom

Rowden Abbey is set within 30 acres of peaceful Herefordshire countryside, offering guests space to wander, relax, and explore. The gardens and terraces provide sunny spots for outdoor dining and evening drinks, while sweeping lawns roll down towards the medieval lake. Woodland paths and meadows change beautifully with the seasons, making every stay a little different. Guests are welcome to enjoy the croquet lawn, picnic areas, and quiet corners tucked away for reading or simply soaking up the tranquillity.
